Each Fellow of the Massachusetts Chapter is known among judges and the community of family law attorneys that practice in each geographic region of the Commonwealth. Fellows of the Chapter are available to handle family law matters in every county.
Divorce
Our Fellows handle a wide array of uncontested and contested divorce matters, bringing decades of experience to resolve conflicts between separating spouses.
prenuptial & postnuptial agreements
The drafting and execution of premarital agreements and post-marital agreements is extremely important. Our Fellows have decades of experience to help negotiate and draft these agreements.
child support
Our Fellows are among the most experienced child support lawyers in Massachusetts. While some child support matters may be simple, others may be extremely complex.
annulment
In cases where one spouse wishes to void their marital relationship, our Fellows have experience in filing and litigating the proper lawsuit to try and void the marriage.
property valuation and division
Divorce matters where property needs to be discovered, valued and then ultimately divided can be extremely complex. Our Fellows have the requisite experience to help divide assets, even in the most complex circumstances.
high-asset divorce
Divorce cases where parties have significant assets, real and personal property, business interests, stocks and other employment-sponsored benefits, and other assets can be extremely confusing. Our Fellows have the experience to obtain results to fairly and equitably divide significant assets upon divorce.
child custody and visitation
Child custody, visitation, and parenting time are issues that arise in divorce, paternity, and separate support actions. Our Fellows are among the most experienced attorneys in Massachusetts to deal with child-related issues.
mediation and arbitration
Mediation and arbitration are methods of “alternative dispute resolution”, or ADR, which our Fellows have decades of experience. Many of the AAML Massachusetts Fellows are certified mediators and have the knowledge, respect and background to resolve conflicts in domestic law situations.
alimony
Alimony, separate support, maintenance and spousal support are all terms that describe the payment by one spouse to the other for his or her support. All of our Fellows have extensive experience in handling straightforward to very complex alimony matters.
